Qatar Social Responsibility Report 2012 Launched

Doha, January 01 (QNA) - The Arab Encyclopedia of Corporate Social Responsibility has launched its social responsibility report on Qatar 2012, outlining the progress made in the area of social responsibility in light of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and Sector Strategy 2011-02016.       A press statement released by the Arab Encyclopedia, said Qatar played a leading role in promoting social responsibility and has taken the lead in many relevant areas, adding that holding the UN Climate Change Conference (COP18) was a perfect example of the international community's confidence in Qatar and its efforts to achieve sustainable development.        Report marketing manager in Qatar Khalifa Salman Al Mohannadi said in a the statement, "We are delighted that Qatar is the first Arab country to launch the social responsibility report, and we hope that it becomes a supportive tool for national efforts in Qatar aimed at promoting regular monitoring in the social responsibility area."       The launch of the report in Qatar will facilitate access, exchange and analysis of data that can be used in the preparation of development plans, he added.       The report has, according to the statement, the support of the public and private sectors in Qatar and is in partnership with the Qatar network for social responsibility and Sougha Advertising Company.       It is noteworthy that the launch of the encyclopedia was announced in the First Arab Forum for Social Responsibility held by the Arab Organization for Business Administration Development, while the Arab corporate social responsibility report was launched in the second session of the forum held in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
