Qatar, Portugal Sign Double Tax Avoidance Agreement

Doha, December 12 (QNA) -The State of Qatar and the Republic of Portugal signed here on Monday an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and combating financial evasion on income tax. HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah signed the agreement for Qatar while Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Portas signed for his country. The signing ceremony came during a meeting HE Dr. Khalid Bin Mohamed Al Attiyah held with the Portuguese Foreign Minister at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on the sidelines of the 4th forum on UN alliance of civilizations , now in progress in doha. Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and means of bolstering and promoting them in the several domains. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of senior officials at the foreign ministry. (QNA)
