Qatar Energy Ministry Treasures HH the Emir's Support for 20th WPC

Doha, December 05 (QNA) - HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada said Monday that he treasured HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani's support to the 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC). Speaking in a press conference on the margins the WPC' opening ceremony here today, HE Al Sada said that HH the Emir ,in His Highness' opening speech, provided a comprehensive view of the field of energy, which is considered a vital field worldwide . HE Al Sada said that His highness stressed the importance of cooperation between all involved to reach an acceptable level of security in both supply and consumption, adding meantime that HH the Emir also highlighted the importance of transparency between all involved, particularly as Petrol is a strategic and valuable commodity to all countries around the world. The Energy and Industry Minister further said that the 20th World Petroleum Congress was a success, adding that it saw a large number of participants from across the globe. He noted that the State of Qatar supported the Congress using all the possible means available. HE Al Sada went on to say that this is the first time that Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) hosts an event on this scale. He added that the big event was suited to the great abilities and fantastic design of the building. QNCC is the biggest convention center to ever host the World Petroleum Congress, It is built on 35000 square meters and includes companies working in the petrol, gas and petrochemicals fields. (QNA)
