PM ensures world business leaders on Thailand's potential

BANGKOK, January 28 (TNA) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Saturday ensured world private business executives of the potential of the Thai economy, her government‘s water management plans aimed at averting any renewed flooding crisis and the country’s long-term reforms for sustainable basis. The Thai premier's remarks were part of her speech, entitled "Public-Private Interaction on Thailand", delivered to participants at a session organised as part of the 42nd World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, at which the world senior executives expressed their interest in investing and trading with their Thai counterparts. Earlier in the day, Premier Yingluck held talks with Swiss President Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf on Thailand’s stable economic and political situation currently, in her bid to persuade more Swiss business persons to invest in the Thai economy. The Thai prime minister then appeared in making a video picture to invite world business operators to attend the 20th World Economic Forum on East Asia, to be hosted by Thailand from May 30-June 1, 2012. The Thai premier is scheduled to fly home from Switzerland on Saturday night and to arrive in Bangkok Sunday afternoon. (TNA)
