Doha, December 05 (QNA) - Omani Minister of Oil and Gas Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi highlighted Monday the importance of establishing a dialogue between oil producing countries in the Middle East.
In his speech before the 20th World Petroleum Congress (WPC) ,now in session in the Qatari Capital Doha, Dr. Al Rumhi said that finding solutions to the problems facing the energy field in the Middle East will be done through planning strategies that serve the field, in addition to working on improving the skills of the workers in that field as well.
One of the biggest challenges facing the sector, the Minister said, is striking the balance between supply and demand to ensure fair prices and the security of the energy supplies.
He added that guaranteeing energy security can be done by preserving the current markets and adding to them new ones. Something that will serve the interests of suppliers and consumers alike, he said and called on the energy-producing countries to lay down strategies that focus on developing skills and technologies to serve the sector.
