Oil Minister, French Ambassador Discuss Ways to Promote Bilateral Cooperation in Oil And Gas Sector

BAGHDAD / NINA / Oil Minister Jabbar Ali Hussein, in his office on Monday, discussed with the French ambassador in Iraq Marc Baretti and his accompanying delegation, ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector. During the meeting, according to a ministry statement, said Iraq and France share a historical good relations, stressing the need of enhancing them in all fields, particularly in the oil and gas industry, and there is a large and promising investment opportunities that contribute to the development of cooperation and relations. He added that the ministry began a new era and it will go for the development of the oil and gas sector, pointing to create the appropriate environment for continuing progress for the development of this important economic sector. For his part, the French ambassador in Iraq Marc Baretti, confirmed that his country's government is seeking to strengthen bilateral cooperation with Iraq at all levels. / End
