Non-oil sector provides almost half tax revenues to Azerbaijani budget in January

Azerbaijan, Baku Feb. 15 / Trend N.Ismaylova The Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry has provided 748.3 million manat of tax payments into the state budget in January 2012, the ministry said in the report, published in Taxes newspaper on Wednesday. Receipts for income tax accounted for 50.3 percent of total tax revenues, value added tax for 26.3 percent, income tax for 7.7 percent, excise tax for 4.5 percent and other taxes for 11.2 percent, the report noted. Non-oil sector has provided revenue to the state budget in the amount of 359.5 million manat, which exceeds the projected rate. A total of 5.105 taxpayers passed the state registration in January. The number of individuals registered in an electronic order reached 12,382 people from July 1 to February 1. The total number of taxpayers was 425,038 people on February 1. In January, the share of tax returns filed in electronic form was 92 percent. The official exchange rate is 0.7861 AZN/USD on Feb. 15.
