Nearly 100,000 new motor vehicles get registered in Turkey in March
ANKARA (A.A) - 26.05.2011 - 99,932 new motor vehicles got registered in Turkey in March, 2011.
According to figures announced by Turkey's Statistical Authority, TurkStat, 51.5 percent of all motor vehicles registered in March were private automobiles for a total of 51,502.
21.3 percent of all motor vehicles registered in March were pickup trucks for a total of 21,265.
13.8 percent of all motor vehicles registered in March were motorcycles for a total of 13,774.
And, 6.2 percent of all motor vehicles registered in March were tractors for a total of 6,149.
The number of motor vehicles registered in March was up 48.5 percent when compared to the previous month.
Between January and March, 2011, 324,760 new motor vehicles were registered in Turkey.
