Monaco FM Calls For Progress In Economic And Cultural Ties With Iran

Tehran, Jan 16, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Monaco called Iran as an important and historical country and asked for progress in economic and cultural relations. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Tuesday, Iran's Ambassador to France Ali Ahani, who is accredited to Monaco, submitted a copy of his credentials to Monaco Foreign Minister Jose Badia. In the ceremony, Badia said that lack of information had been an obstacle to mutual cooperation between the two countries. He added that without getting to know Iran and Iranians we can not recognize realities and dialogue in different sectors between the two countries is necessity. Ambassador Ahani, for his part, expounded on Iran's viewpoints and policies toward international and regional issues. He also discussed different aspects of relations between Iran and Monaco and exchanged views on potential capacities of mutual cooperation./end
