Mercedes-Benz supplies busses to Tashkent

Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Aug 24 /Trend D.Azizov/ German car concern Mercedes-Benz has supplied 25 buses to Tashkent, administration of Tashkent told Trend on Friday. Supply of buses is carried out in accordance with the purchase agreement signed between association Tashgortransservis and German EvoBus GmbH Mercedes-Benz (bus division of Daimler-Chrysler concern). According to a representative of the city administration, a reception, transmission and presentation of new Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor model buses of Euro-3 standard was hold the day before. According to the agreement, the remaining buses will arrive in Tashkent before the end of October. Renovation project of the passenger transport in Tashkent, providing the purchase of 100 new Mercedes-Benz buses for a total of $18.9 million is approved by the decision of President Islam Karimov in January. Project funding provided by the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan. The first Mercedes-Benz Conecto Low Floor buses of Euro-3 standard appeared in Tashkent in 2008. Currently 400 Mercedes-Benz low-floor buses operate in Tashkent. Purchase of buses for a total of 120 million euro is carried out through a loan of German banks guaranteed by the government of Uzbekistan. All of these buses with length over 12 meters and a load capacity of more than eight tons belong to a class of Mercedes-Benz Conecto. Do you have any feedback?
