Masraf Al Rayan Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Doha, May 13 (QNA) - Masraf Al Rayan has appointed Ahmed Swaleh Abdi Sheikh as its chief operating officer (COO) subject to Qatar Central Bank's approval, Gulf Times daily reported Sunday. Masraf Al Rayan Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Mustafawi, said, "We are pleased to have Sheikh on-board and to take over this important role. His addition to the Masraf Al Rayan team will be instrumental in our continued success". Sheikh has more than 16 years experience in banking and has served several prominent regional banks in senior positions. Sheikh is joining Masraf Al Rayan from Al Salam Bank-Bahrain where he held the position of vice chairman & acting CEO, Bahraini Saudi Bank and EVP-Head of Banking, Al Salam Bank-Bahrain. Previously, Sheikh worked for Qatar Central Bank and QNB. (QNA)
