Khartoum to Host Qatari-Sudanese Investment Forum Sunday

Khartoum , December 03 (QNA) - Khartoum will host tomorrow, Sunday, the third Qatari-Sudanese investment forum, with a wide variety of participants representing the economic and investment sectors in both countries. Sudanese Presidential Advisor on Investment Moustafa Othman Ismael said that Sudan gives the forum a special attention. He added that the Sudanese economy relies heavily on the Qatari role that supports security, stability and economic development in the region. In statements he gave today, Ismael said that the works of the forum are part of bilateral efforts to find a strategic partnership, stressing that the forum will kick start a "huge" economic relation between both countries. The forum, which will host more than 100 businessman and investors from Qatari companies, will explore possible investment projects available in Sudan. Such projects can focus on the food security, oil, mining and industry as well as privatization, adding that governors of Sudanese governorates will also give presentation on opportunities available in their governorates. Ismael said that all means for success are available in Sudan, particularly since the country considers investment as the main base for economic development. He added that a number of projects will be inaugurated on the margins of the forum. (QNA)
