Iraq, Pakistan Agree To Activate Economic And Trade Cooperation

BAGHDAD / NINA / -Iraq and Pakistan have agreed to set the date of meetings of the Iraqi-Pakistani committee and activate economic and trade cooperation, after mid-April.
The Ministry of Trade said in a press statement: "The Director General of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations in the ministry, Adel Masoudi discussed with the Pakistani ambassador in Baghdad, Sajid Bilal, the date of meetings of the Iraqi-Pakistani Joint Committee as well as discussing ways to develop economic and trade relations and raise the volume of trade and seek to revitalize economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. "
It added "It was agreed in principle to set the date of the meetings of the Joint Committee after the middle of next April."
The statement explained that "The meeting dealt with Iraq and Pakistan's efforts to develop and activate cooperation between the private sector through exchanging visits to businessmen, traders and investors and overcoming obstacles by facilitating the granting of entry visas and facilitating all financial transfer procedures."/End
