Iran reveals volume of gas transported from one of its 'operational gas zones'

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14 By Elnur Baghishov – Trend: More than 9 billion cubic meters of gas were transported from Iran's 7th operational zone on gas transportation during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Head of 7th operational zone Amin Ebadi said, Trend reports citing National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC). There are 10 gas operational zone on gas transportation operating in Iran under the subordinate of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC). The 7th gas operational zone on gas transportation transports gas to the western provinces of Iran. The Markazi, Lorestan, Hamadan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah and Ilam provinces are included these provinces. According to the Ebadi, about 33.6 billion cubic meters of gas was transported through this point in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). He added that the station has a pipeline length of about 5,000 kilometers. The official said that thus, this pipeline accounts for more than 13 percent all of the gas pipelines that are operating in Iran.
