ICT firms competitiveness lauded

Manama, May 17 (BNA): Board member and head of the ICT committee of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmed bin Hindi hailed the ICT sector in Bahrain on the occasion of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day coinciding with May 17. Bin Hindi said "Bahrain enjoys a highly competitive and promising ICT sector, which we hope to put to its maximum potentials and enhance its contribution to the country’s GDP". He added "this sector enjoys proficient human power, which has enabled it to compete in the international arena". He stressed "the wise leadership of Bahrain has not only supported the flourishing of this sector, but also adopted electronic solutions and operations itself, as illustrated in the Government Action Plan 2015-2018". He concluded his statement by praising the ICT sector in Bahrain and highlighting its achievements, while ensuring the sector that the ICT committee will exert all efforts to support the development of the sector and eliminate any obstacles curbing its advancement.
