HE Al-Sada Honors Institutions, Media for Making 20th Petroleum Congress a Success
Doha, January 11 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the higher organizing committee of the 20th World Petroleum Congress Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh al-Sada honored last night the institutions and work teams which participated in organizing the 20th World Petroleum Congress, which Doha hosted in December, 2011.
HE the Minister of Energy and Industry also honored the local media for the efforts they had exerted to make this event a success.
Addressing the honoring ceremony, HE al-Sada expressed appreciation of the local authorities role in the organization of the 20th Petroleum Congress, pointing out that the event was organized at a high level that has exceeded all expectations.
HE the Minister of Energy and Industry noted that Qatar has managed to host this event in its second attempt during which it was able to convince the members of the World Petroleum Council of its ability to organize such an event.
Qatar Petroleum was keenness to convince the World Petroleum Congress members that Qatar is capable to host and succeed this event, and highlighted Qatar's position in the world of hydrocarbons and its potentials, HE al-Sada added.
HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammad bin Saleh al-Sada underlined that the organization of the 20th World Petroleum Congress in the Middle East was a must after 70 years of organizing this event.
HE al-Sada hailed the huge efforts made by the institutions and work teams in organizing the event, noted that they had worked continuously for about a year and a half to organize it at such high level.
Following the speech, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry distributed the certificates of appreciation and gifts to the representatives of the local media, work teams and institutions in recognition of their contributions for the success of the 20th World Petroleum Congress. (QNA)
