German technology company FEV in Turkey
ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 1, 2011 - Germany's FEV company, an internationally-recognized leader in the design and development of internal combustion engines, and a major supplier of advanced testing and instrumentation products and services to some of the world's largest powertrain OEMs, began operating in the Turkish market.
FEV's investments in Turkey and their strategic importance and the company's plans for the future were discussed in a meeting attended by Chairperson of the Turkish Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency Ilker Ayci, FEV's Vice-President in charge of Eastern Europe and Asia Michael Wilhelm and FEV Turkey's General Manager Taner Gocmez.
Speaking at the meeting, Ilker Ayci said that FEV's investment was highly crucial for the Turkish automotive sector in developing engines.
Michael Wilhelm said that they wanted to be an important player in Turkey's national project on manufacturing cars.
Wilhelm said that they were currently working with 5 Turkish engineers and that this figure would go up to 20 next year.
We want to be involved in research and development projects in Turkey, Wilhelm also said.
