Gasoline prices fall in Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, Oct.8 /Trend N.Kirtskhalia/
The Wissol Company was the first to drop gasoline prices in Georgia. The prices were reduced by 0.08 lari in the first stage ($1=1.66 lari)
Starting today, gasoline prices will be: API super (98) - 2.25 lari, API premium (95)- 2.20 lari, API diesel- 2.25 lari, Euro regulator (93) - 2.10 lari, regulator energy (92)- 2.08 lar and diesel energy - 2.05 lari.
As previously reported, leaders of the election winning Georgian Dream coalition stated that prices for oil products are inflated in Georgia. According to their estimations, gasoline price will fall by 20 tetri in average (1 lari= 100 tetri).
The vice president of the Gulf company sales department Otar Katamadze considers that Georgian Dream leaders' statements are realistic, but difficult to implement.
According to Rompetrol commerce director Tengiz Chichinadze, if the coalition has made such statements, it means they have the respective mechanisms to carry them out.
Chairman of the Georgian Importers Council Vano Mtvralashvili has also commented on gasoline price reduction. He said the decrease in gasoline prices was possible before and the government could take the necessary measures.
