EXTERNAL TRADE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In 2012, Mongolia traded with 146 countries. A total external trade turnover reached USD 1,1123.5 million. Exports made up USD 4,384.6 million, imports USD 6,738.9 million. The trade balance showed a deficit of USD 1,780.9 million 2011. Total external trade turnover decreased USD 292.4 million or 2.6 percent, of which exports reduced by USD 432.9 million or 9.0 percent, imports grew USD 140.5 million or 2.1 percent against 2011. Mineral products, textiles & textile articles, natural or cultured stones, precious metal, jewellery, coins, raw & processed hides, skins, fur & articles, live animals, animals, origin products accounted for 98.6 percent of the total export value.
