Emirates Airlines resumes flights to Tehran after 6-month suspension

TEHRAN, Iran, July 18 Trend: A member of the board of directors responsible for logistics management at Imam Khomeini Airport City (IKAC) announced that Emirates Airlines resumed its flights to Tehran in the morning of July 17 after a six-month suspension. "The outbreak of COVIDovid-19 in the world and the decrease in demand for travel caused many airlines in the world to limit or stop their flight operations," Mohammad Reza Karimian said, Trend reports with reference to IKAC. "The strict implementation of health protocols and the improvement of coronavirus control conditions allowed gradually resuming flights," Reza Karimian said. "The number of departures and arrives at Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) will be increased gradually." The official went on to say that the Emirates Airlines announced its plan to resume flights to Imam Khomeini Airport, and the first flight of this airline during almost six months landed in Tehran on July 17 at 10:25 am. "From this date, Emirates Airlines begins operating flights on Tehran-Dubai-Tehran route on a daily basis," he added.
