A decree on suspension of free trade agreement with Syria submitted to Council of Ministers

KAYSERI (A.A) - December 9, 2011 - Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici said Friday they submitted a decree to the Council of Ministers, which was prepared by Economy Ministry on suspension of free trade agreement with Syria. Replying to questions on Syria's closing some border gates with Turkey, Yazici said Akcakale and Nusaybin border gates were closed, but there was not any problem in Cilvegozu and Yayladagi, stating that they were working on alternative routes. Yazici said they were working on launching ro-ro services from Mersin to Aqaba and Jeddah.
