Contractor determined for Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund’s information system

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 5 / Trend A. Akhundov / The Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) determined the winner of a tender to create its information system, the fund said on Thursday. The winner was the Turkish company Gaia Bilgi Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret LTD STİ. The fund's information system must include the following modules and interfaces -- an operating system module, a reporting module, a software module in member banks, and a software module in agent banks. One of the chief requirements for participants was experience in project management to develop operating systems for local and foreign commercial banks. The ADIF began its activity on August 13, 2007. Forty-three of 44 banks operating in the country are members of the bank. One bank is still working with a limited license because of non-compliance with Central Bank requirements. It does not have the access to receive deposits.
