Consultancy firm hired to supervise Suvarnabhumi airport expansion
BANGKOK, May 30 (TNA) - Airports of Thailand Plc (AOT) has hired a consultancy firm for the second-phase expansion of Suvarnabhumi airport which is estimated to cost 62 billion baht.
AOT president Aniruth Thanomkulbutr said EPM Consortium inked a deal worth 800 million baht with the AOT to supervise the second-phase of Suvarnabhumi airport expansion project for the next six years.
The project will cost 62.5 billion baht. Eighty percent of the investment will be cash and the remaining will come from domestic loans. After a completion of the project, Suvarnabhumi airport will be able to accommodate 60 million passengers annually, from currently 51 million passengers a year, according to the AOT president. (TNA)
