BIBF launches IFRS Update Seminar

Manama, Sept. 28 (BNA): BIBF is launching its second International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) update seminar on Monday, 5th October 2015 in partnership with Emile Woolf International (EWI) – one of the world’s largest providers of IFRS training. The seminar will focus on the headlines of all confirmed amendments to standards effective from 1st Jan 2016, among other IFRS and International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) updates. This will provide users and readers of these standards with the opportunity to better understand the changes. "It is vital that professionals who are directly involved in preparing financial statements, and the management staff of banks, insurance firms and other financial institutions get themselves updated with the latest pronouncements and changes in the International Financial Reporting Standards. BIBF upholds itself to the highest quality standards and have selected the best partner for this event. EWI’s IFRS team is made up of expert, qualified chartered accountants who are able to explain complex issues in a clear and concise way", noted BIBF Director Solveig Nicklos. BIBF’s Head of Centre for Accounting & Finance Deen Jayah noted, "Ian Charles, a qualified Chartered Accountant and a leading speaker in IFRS will conduct the seminar. Ian has over thirty years’ experience of delivering high-level financial reporting programmes to audiences all over the world. For the last ten years, he has been involved in helping both large and medium sized organisations, from across the European Union, Middle East, Far East and North and South America, to train their staff in preparation for the implementation of IFRS. Delegates on this seminar will be able to benefit from Ian’s considerable knowledge on the subject."
