Dubai, Nov. 10 (BNA): At the Dubai Airshow, Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for BIAS said, "We are delighted to see the show evolve. It reinforces and strengthens the shows position on the aerospace calendar and demonstrates the demand for an event of this type in the Middle East.
At the Dubai Airshow 2015, on Monday, representatives from the Bahrain International Airshow confirm that the 2016 has increased international presence – and the show is growing and growing. The show is now less than 3 months away and it is looking stronger than ever.
Now in its fourth edition, BIAS is a focused global aviation event providing its elite list of aerospace business participants the opportunity for high-level networking in exclusive surroundings.
The Bahrain International Airshow in January 2016 will see the biggest show to date with increased participation by 60% since the inauguration in 2010. The exhibition hall has increased by 47% since the last event and the Delegations programme has increased participation by 200% since 2012.
With just 40 chalet participants and dedicated exhibition space, the event allows participants the opportunity to meet the extensive civil and military delegations invited as guests of HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa - HM the King's Personal Representative and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee of BIAS.
The forthcoming show will also see the launch of a Hosted Buyer programme providing suppliers direct access to potential buyers. This new networking programme is open to both participants and visitors to the show and provides yet another reason to take part. In addition, a 2-day Conference Programme covering Air Transport in the 21st Century will take place on the 22 and 23 January 2016.
CEO’s from key airlines from around the world have been invited to speak. The conference will have a dedicated focus; Day 1 will feature Airlines & the Passenger Experience and Day 2 will feature Meeting Current Demands on Airports & Airspace.
2016 will also benefit from the Manama Air Power Symposium (MAPS) – held on the day prior to the start of the show. MAPS will see over 30 air force chiefs and some 200 officials from around the world to participate within a themed symposium.
The exhibition hall, in 2016, will also feature the RAF Museum timeline – showcasing how the UK and Bahrain have worked together over the past 100 years. The exhibition feature hall space has increased by 47% from 2014 with a new and exciting exhibitor line up.
