Basra, Mitsubishi Sign A Contract To Rehabilitate A Unit In The Hartha Station

BASRA, IRAQ (NINA) - The directorate of electricity production in Basra on Thursday signed a contract with Japanese Mitsubishi company to rehabilitate the first unit with a capacity of 200 megawatts at Hartha thermal power station. "The project of rehabilitating the first unit is one of the important projects carried out by the Ministry of Electricity in preparation for the next summer," said the director general of the company Eng. Tahseen Zaki al-Saad to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA). Added "The project completion period is 30 months starting from opening accreditation certificate by the company. " "The project to rehabilitate this production unit for electricity will contribute to stabilize the electricity in Basra and increase the hours of processing for citizens," Saad said/ End
