Bahrain wins best pavilion at OGWA 2014
Muscat, Apr 6 (BNA) – Bahrain's pavilion, which included companies affiliate to the National Oil and Gas Authority, was named the best pavilion at the 9th Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals Exhibition and Conference (OGWA 2014), which was held at Oman International Exhibition Centre from March 31 to April 2, 2014.
Director of Government Relations of Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Saeed bin Sultan Al-Busaeedi, delivered the award, in the presence of Petroleum Investment Management's Director General, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Anbouri and Omanexpo's Director-General, Nader Abbas.
Oman's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Dr Ali bin Masoud Al-Sunaidi, inaugurated the conference and exhibition associated with OGWA 2014, which included approximately 313 pavilions.
He paid a visit to Bahrain's pavilion, which included Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) and Bahrain National Gas Company (BANAGAS), and was briefed on the history, production processes, as well as achievements and awards obtained by the three Bahraini companies for their contributions to fields of health, environment, safety and community services.
OGWA 2014 was organized by Omanexpo under the patronage of Oman's oil and gas Ministry and included the latest of oil industry, products and technologies.
The event witnessed a wide participation of oil and gas companies, which indicates the great growth of West Asian economies and development in oil and gas areas, and discussed the latest developments, opportunities, challenges and factors that shape the oil and gas future industry of Oman and West Asian countries.
