Bahrain to host first sport exhibition

Manama, May 11 (BNA): Bahrain is planning to host a first-of-its-kind sport exhibition in December this year coinciding with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations, it was announced yesterday (March 11). Titled Bahrain International Sport Exhibition ‘BISE’, the event is organized by the Bahrain Olympic Committee in partnership with Tanfeeth International. The agreement was signed by the BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar and Tanfeeth International chief executive Fathi Al Alawi, in the presence of projects director Lounes Madene and International Relations director Fajer Jassim. This organisers look to make this event an annual spotlight which attracts sports-related authorities, thus contributing to develop and create a sustainable sport in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Askar said bringing this exhibition to Bahrain for the first time is in line with the directives of His Majesty the King's Representative for Charity and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee President Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to bring the attention of different sporting activities to promote tourism in Bahrain. Similar to other internationally-renowned conferences like the Sport Accord Convention, Abu Dhabi International Sport Exhibition and Soccer Ex Convention, the BISE’s vision and strategy come from the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030. "The Bahrain International Sports Exhibition will be the perfect place to hold conferences and discussions among various sport-related domestic, regional and international parties. It also a great opportunity to showcase the latest innovations and a place to exchange views between sporting events organizers, international federations, sponsors and the even media, said Askar", who stressed at the same time that the exhibition will be a unique place to hold stunning performances in various kinds of sports. It’s worth noting that the exhibition will bring a number of promotions on sports supplements, world-popular sports outfits and gears, as well as recreational programmes such as entertaining shows presented by Harlem Globetrotters show, and BMX Flat Landers, besides the RPM Festival and a photo gallery.
