Azerbaijani IT company develops “E-Diary” system

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 8 / Trend H. Valiyev /
"E-Diary" project has been developed within the frames of the "State Program on informatization of education system in the Azerbaijan Republic in 2008-2012".
The notification system of parents about the academic performance of the secondary schools pupils via SMS messages has proven its efficiency and got the wide scope all over the world and that's why it is already generally accepted norm for several years.
The notification system works as follows: the given marks during the lessons, the given reprimands by the teachers for the parents and the information about the planned school meetings and the events are included into the system of electronic school management programme (ASM). Data are kept in Data-centre of the Ministry of Education. Developments and technical support of electronic school management programme are realized by ULTRA company.
The data are included into the electronic school management programme directly by the teachers. The educational trainings were conducted especially for the teachers on the exploitation of the programme. As soon as the data are placed into the programme via GSM-module which was written by the work group of MSM company, the information about academic performance of the pupil comes into the mobile phone of the parent via SMS messages. SMS messages are sent only the parents who are connected to this service. Applying to the guidance of the school, you can connect this service.
Sarkhan Mammadov, deputy director of the Project Management department of ULTRA company, as well as project manager of "E- school" said that SMS messages system works instant. As soon as the teacher includes the information into the class journal, it will come into the mobile phone of the parent at once. The parents will always be informed about academic performance of their child without separation of their own works and will also know whether the child attends at lessons or not.
"E-Diary" project is socially oriented and it was directed on improvement of education quality in the republic. Nowadays approximately 25 schools have already connected to the project which use electronic journal system.
