Azerbaijan Railways ready to run tourist trains within Eurovision Song Contest 2012

Azerbaijan, Baku, April 19 / Trend E.Ismayilov / CJSC Azerbaijan Railways in connection with the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku intends to run tourist trains to Ganja (375 km from Baku) and Tbilisi, CJSC Azerbaijan Railways spokesman Nadir Azmammadov told Trend on Thursday. He said if tourism companies appeal, Azerbaijan Railways is ready to launch special tourist trains to Azerbaijan's major city Ganja and to the Georgian capital Tbilisi. "We are ready to run tourist trains on these directions, but, in this regard, an appeal of tourism companies is required," Azmammadov said. The 57th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in the Baku Crystal Hall near the State Flag Square. The Eurovision 2012 semi-final rounds will be held in Baku on May 22 and May 24 and the final on May 26. The logo for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest is 'Fire Flower', while the motto is Light your fire. Azerbaijan won the right to host the prestigious European song contest after the victory of Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal (Ell / Nikki) at Eurovision 2011 in Dusseldorf, Germany last May.
