Audit Bureau to Participate in the 4th Arab-EU Forum

Doha, April 09 (QNA) - The Audit Bureau will take part in the 4th Arab-EU Forum in Azerbaijan next Tuesday. The Bureau delegation, headed by its acting president Ibrahim bin Hashem al-Sada, will present a working paper on the importance of regulating the limits and targets of the internal and external oversight on the public money in improving its management, the Audit Bureau said in a statement. The three-day forum will address the responsibilities of the higher public authorities in tackling the challenges arising from the UN General Assembly resolution on the independence of the regulatory bodies and the role of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in achieving national development goals. The participation in such meetings provides an opportunity for the exchange of scientific knowledge and professional experiences between the participating agencies, the statement noted. The Audit Bureau, as per law No. (4) of 1995, undertakes the responsibility of the control over the public money; and verifying the integrity and legitimacy of the management and preserving the public money.
