AmCham attends Mideast Trade & Export Campaign

Manama: May 04 (BNA): The American Chamber of Commerce Bahrain (AmCham Bahrain) today announced its participation as part of the most recent trade delegation from the Middle East Council of American Chambers of Commerce (MECACC) to Washington DC focused on promoting the interests of its members companies The trip included participation from AmCham chapters in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Qatar, Eastern Province, Jubail and Jeddah, in a week long campaign where AmCham Bahrain members and their counterparts met key U.S. Administration officials and members of U.S. Congress. The objective of the campaign for AmCham Bahrain was to promote fair tax and trade policies that will encourage trade opportunities between the United States and the Kingdom of Bahrain thus benefiting members. The campaign included discussions on sensible pro-trade and tax policies, which will support both American and Bahraini companies in achieving growth. Encourage companies to hire more Americans to work overseas as Ambassadors of American products and services. Commenting on the visit, Mary McGinnis, Business Development AmCham Bahrain, said, "We were pleased to join hands with other delegations from AmChams across the GCC to highlight areas of importance for our members. In doing so, we made significant progress during the week and secured key deliverables for Americans living and working in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC and for our broader membership base. In particular, we emphasized on reaching high ranking officials with our arguments and we were impressed by how many government leaders were moved to support our position on the issues at hand. We look forward to building on the foundations set during the trip and continuing to deliver value to our members here in Bahrain."
