Additional facilitations to investors underlined

Manama , Oct 19 (BNA): Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Zayed Al-Zayani has participated in a business lunch held by Bahraini-Indian Society. Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Alok Kumar Sinha, Bahraini-Indian Society's Chairman Mohammad Dadabhai, a number of members and businesswomen and businessmen also attended. The minister talked about the latest regulatory and legal developments and the steps recently taken by the ministry aimed at providing additional facilitations to investors from inside and outside Bahrain. He pointed out the historical trade relations between the two countries which date back to more than a century. He noted that the total volume of trade exchange between the two countries reached $955 million in 2014, where the value of export from India to Bahrain was $504 million, while the value of export from Bahrain to India amounted to $450 million. He added there are 2373 Bahraini companies jointly operating with Indian investors, and 18 branches of Indian companies and 150 Indian commercial agencies operating in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
