Access to information in licensing to be simplified in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec 13 / Trend N.Ismayilova/ A unified system of legal regulation of licensing and permits can be created in Azerbaijan to serve for business development and further improvement of a favorable business environment in the country, head of business development policies of the Ministry of Economic Development Zaur Gasimov told Trend. "A draft law on the Licenses and Permits has been developed to regulate this sphere in accordance with the decree of the President of Azerbaijan," Gasimov said. The bill will provide the basic criteria that are determined to types of business activities requiring licenses and permits, improved access to information about procedures for obtaining permits for certain types of businesses. Creating a specialized Internet portal, covering the information on permits issued by central and local executive power bodies, (name of the type of permit, the legal basis, a list of required documentation, the name and legal address of the issuing authority permit, fees, processing times applications, etc.) is charged for it. In addition, a section of services will be created at the portal to post draft legal acts under development of central and local executive bodies and issues regulating the entrepreneurship. Text of bills will be stored on site during a month, and kept available for public commenting. A convenient search engine for all types of permits (the species name resolution, the legal basis, a list of required documentation, the name and legal address of the permitting authority) required to engage in some form or another business will be created on site.
