Heads of diplomatic missions of the UN member states regard highly the political Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s statement that received the status of the UN Security Council official document. They note the relevance of the initiatives outlined by the Kazakh President, stimulating in-depth discussion of global security issues and the future of the mankind. Former non-permanent UN Security Council members expressed their hope for further cooperation and wished Kazakhstan successful implementation of tasks.
MALEEHA LODHI, PAKISTAN’S PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE TO UN:
Kazakhstan has played a key role in the United Nations in many processes; in peace and security, development issues and human rights. So, we are very happy to see Kazakhstan has taken non-permanent seat in the Security Council. Of course, Pakistan and Kazakhstan have very close relationship and you are in our neighborhood. We have very high expectations of the role that Kazakhstan will play as a non- permanent member.
