EMERGENCY COMMISSION HOLDS MEETING

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The State Emergency Commission (SEC) held a meeting Friday to receive the information on wintering in Ulaanbaatar and in provinces, heating and energy supply and coal reserve.
Deputy Premier and Chairman of the SEC M.Enkhbold gave some assignments and tasks to related authorities. The SEC decided to submit to the government a proposal about distributing a fodder with half discounted price to needy provinces. It has been agreed that USD 3.0 million cost aid of hay and fodder will be given to herders through food assistance program of France. It will render assistance in forming a MNT 400 million worth reserve of hay and fodder in Arkhangai, Bulgan, Khovsgol and Khentii provinces where a project is run by the International Fund of Developing Agriculture.
According to the government resolution, 5.000 tons of hay and 3.000 tons of fodder have been sold from the State Reserve so far to provinces experiencing severe winter conditions.
