Iran's parliament to make decision on Kerry visit to Iran tomorrow
TEHRAN, Jan. 4 (MNA) -- The Iranian parliament will make a decision on Tuesday on U.S. Senator John Kerry’s request to visit Tehran, MP Hossein Ebrahimi said on Sunday.
The Majlis Foreign Relations Committee is scheduled to discuss the issue on Tuesday morning and then the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee will make a decision on Tuesday afternoon, Ebrahimi told reporters.
However, he said he believes it is unlikely that the Majlis will approve the visit since it is not in the country’s interests at the present time.
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry has made a formal request to visit Iran.
