ABOUT SESSION ON GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ High level plenary session of the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15) started Friday in the Bella Center in Copenhagen, Denmark.
At the beginning of session, a speech was given by Felipe Calderуn, the President of Mexico. The Prime Ministers of the UK of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, of Australia, of Greece and of Albania--Gordon Brown, Kevin Rudd, George Papandreou, Sali Berisha--also gave speeches. By the 12th turn, a speech was given to the gathered by the State Head of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj.
The same day, reports were given by state heads and Premier of Brazil, the Republic of Korea, Spain, France, Germany, Turkey and other countries--Lula Da Silva, Lee Myung-bak, Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and Abdullah Gul.
In the scope of the session, diplomatic actions widely ran for reaching agreements. Main roles were played within the diplomatic actions by leaders of the European Union (EU) and the Australian Premier K.Rudd.
Columnists, journalist and specialists consider that the session has not gotten achievements due to firm positions maintained by the USA and China. On Friday, the USA President Barack Obama is to arrive in Copenhagen, whereas Wen Jiabao, the Chinese Premier, has recently arrived in the city.
At the afternoon session, European countries expressed their willingness to reduce greenhouse gas by up to 30 per cent in accordance with a propose by the Kyoto Protocol.
Observers consider that the Group of 77 comprising developing countries have not been prepared pretty well for this session's organization.
Ts.Elbegdorj expressed a willingness of Mongolia to make all efforts to combat the climate change.
