Iran, Uganda to expand economic ties

ZANJAN, Dec.6 (MNA) – The Ugandan ambassador to Iran called for the enhancement of economic relations with Iran, especially with the northwestern provinces.


Mohammad Kisule stated in the joint economic conference between Uganda and northwest Iran in Zanjan that both countries enjoy exceptional qualities that could help develop economic and trade ties, the Mehr News Agency reported.


Kisule said his country has a special geographical position which gives it trade priority in the African continent. He added that bilateral trade ties between Iran and Uganda were expanding.


He pointed out that establishing an Iranian commercial center in Uganda has been approved which will create the grounds for increasing economic activities between the two.


The Ugandan diplomat noted that in his country has a large population of farmers and the northwestern provinces of Iran, led by Zanjan, could help that country by extending their experience in the field of agriculture.
