Ahmadinejad: Iran-Brazil potentials, complementary

Brasilia, Nov 24, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that both Iran and Brazil’s potentials are complementary, and quick advantage of the opportunities should be taken by them to boost the progress and wellbeing of the two nations

President Ahmadinejad was speaking at a gathering of Iranian and Brazilian businessmen and merchants in Brasilia on Monday evening local time.

“The two large countries of Iran and Brazil have a shared humane viewpoint and concerns over international relations and need to take advantage of their entire potentials aimed at broadening and improving relations and expanding the sphere of cooperation,” he reiterated.

Pointing out that the world is in need of a new international apparatus and a new world order, Ahmadinejad said, “Close cooperation between various sectors in Iran-Brazil today would be not only to the benefit of the two countries, but to the entire world.”

Ahmadinejad emphasized, “Beyond doubt cooperation between the Iranian and the Brazilian managers, the businessmen, the merchants, and industrialists can serve as a good model for comprehensive cooperation between any two countries.”

Ahmadinejad referred to the existence of very deep and friendly relations between the two countries, saying, that by relying doubly on strong efforts we will witnesses an increased level of cooperation between Tehran and Brasilia.

President Ahmadinejad concluded by saying that both “Iran-Brazil can be good friends for each other and reliable partners for entire independent nations.”

For his part, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva emphasized at the meeting that expansion of relations with Iran is of great significance for Brazil, reiterating, “We can rapidly increase the sphere of our countries’ comprehensive cooperation right away.”

Da Silva reiterated: “In order to increase the level of bilateral ties it is necessary to recognize both countries’ existing potentials for cooperation.”

Da Silva said, “In my visit to Iran I will take along a large number of Brazilian businessmen and merchants in order to increase the volume of Brasilia-Tehran trade volume.” /end
