Avicenna Festival receives wide coverage by foreign media


The International Festival on Theosophia of Avicenna has received wide coverage by foreign media.

The thee-day event opened in the city of Hamedan on Wednesday evening, attended by hundreds of scholars and philosophers from different countries.

Official of the festival's secretariat Tavakkol Daraie said that reporters and correspondents from 16 foreign media and press are giving full coverage to the event.

The official referred to Saudi Arabia's "Middle East Broadcasting Centre (MBC)", Reuters, Al-forat TV Channel from Iraq, Aljazeera, Qatar's "Al-shargh", Kuwait's "Al-dar", Lebanes Brodcasting Corporation (LBC), Spain's EFE and Associated Press as some of the media networks present in the event.

He said England's "Impact", France's "Sigma" and Australia's "Front Line" are also covering the international event.

A total of 48 articles from among 116 received by the secretariat on such topics as theology, philosophy and traditional medicine will be presented to five panels.

38 outstanding philosophers from Iran and 17 other world countries including Britain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Hungary, Lebanon, Nigeria, Japan, the US, South Africa, India and Germany are present in the event.
