Universities and colleges from 26 US states to participate in educational exhibitions

Hanoi (VNA) – Universities and colleges from 26 US states will participate in
several educational exhibitions which will be held in Hanoi , Da Nang and Ho
Chi Minh City in September and October.

According to the Institute for International Education in Vietnam on September
25, the US higher education exhibition 2009 will open at Hanoi ’s
Intercontinental Hotel on Sept. 28, the Ho Chi Minh City ’s Equatorial hotel
on September 30 and Da Nang ’s Green Plaza hotel on October 2.

The events aim to provide Vietnamese students and their parents the opportunity
to understand more about US universities and meet their representatives. They
will also provide information about free advisory programmes on higher education
and postgraduate courses in the US .

This year’s expos have attracted a record number of participating universities
- 84 at the event in Ho Chi Minh City , 32 in Da Nang and 48 in Hanoi .

Another US Community College Education Exhibition will be held in Da Nang and
then in Ho Chi Minh City in September.

At the event, US community colleges will provide information on majors of study,
especially English language programmes for students, as well as other supporting
cultural exchange programmes.-Enditem
