Malaysia ready to boost banking cooperation with Iran

Governor of the Malaysian Central Bank Ms Zeti Akhtar Aziz said on Monday that her country is willing to boost cooperation with Iran in the area of the Islamic banking.

Talking to IRNA, she said although there are great potentials in both countries for further expansion of all-out ties, Islamic banking cooperation has not been paid due attention to.

She underlined the need for exchange of experiences between the two friendly countries in that area.

Ms Aziz added that Tehran-Kuala Lumpur banking cooperation would pave the way for expansion of such cooperation among all Islamic states.
