Laos-China Business Forum opened in Vientiane
(KPL) A business forum for Laos and China was opened in Vientiane on 14 July under the joint chairmanship of Mr. Siesavath Savangseuksa, Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce and Mr. Gua Shengkun, the Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee for Guangxi Zhang Autonomous Region.
The main objective of the forum aimed to exchange the knowledge and experiences on business operation between the two countries and to boost the co-operation on trade and commerce.
Today, the Chinese investors have invested in more than 117 projects with the total investment of more than US$ 1.1 billion.
The investment almost in the field of hydropower, mining, trade centre, banking, telecommunication, hotel, restaurants, construction materials and agricultural development.
The Lao businessmen has participated in many trade exhibitions in China, especially those organized in Kuming.
