In A Joint Press Conference With His Iranian Counterpart FM: We Reject The Use Of Iraqi Territory To Target Neighboring Countries

Baghdad /NINA/- Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the Iraqi government's rejection of using Iraqi territory to target neighboring countries.

The Foreign Minister said in a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi that "the outbreak of war in the region threatens international civil peace."

He added that "we seek to keep Iraq out of the framework of any war in the region".

He continued that "the outbreak of war could lead to an energy crisis and threaten navigation".

For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stressed that the region is facing serious challenges.

Araghchi said that Iran is consulting with friends to stop the Zionist aggression on Lebanon and Gaza.

He added that there is a possibility of escalation in the region caused by the Zionist entity, stressing that Tehran is not looking for war or escalation.

He pointed out that Iran seeks to achieve peace in the region, stressing that the international community must care for the displaced in Lebanon and Gaza.
