Kyrgyzstan calls on Middle East countries to refrain from actions that lead to escalation of situation in region

We are monitoring the events taking place in the Middle East region with deep concern, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.

"We call on the conflicting parties to comply with the fundamental principles and norms of international law, including refraining from actions that lead to an escalation of the situation in the region.

The Kyrgyz Republic is in favor of consolidating the efforts of the international community for a speedy and complete cessation of hostilities, the beginning of political dialogue and peaceful resolution of conflicts," the ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the citizens of Kyrgyzstan refrain from visiting Israel, Iran and Lebanon due to the increased risks associated with instability in the region.

At the same time, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are already in the Middle East region are advised to strengthen their own security measures, avoid large crowds, and strictly follow the requirements and recommendations of the official authorities of the host country.

The ministry says to contact the following emergency numbers in case of need for any assistance and information:

1. Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Kuwait: +96525359951;

2. Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey: +905456896800;
