EDB to build 9 schools in Kyrgyzstan

The Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Kyrgyz Parliament considered and approved on Monday the bill “On ratification of the Agreement on Grant between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Eurasian Development Bank, signed on July 23, 2024 in Bishkek” in the first reading.

Information about the bill was presented by Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Bekzhan Supanaliev.

This agreement provides for the grant procedure, under which EDB provides construction of 9 general education organizations in Kyrgyzstan, their material and technical equipment and their transfer to the republic.

Kyrgyzstan, in turn, ensures the fulfillment of obligations stipulated by the intergovernmental agreement for the successful implementation of the project. Upon completion of construction and material and technical equipment of the schools, EDB transfers them to the Kyrgyz Republic on a free of charge and irrevocable basis.
