Kyrgyzstan intends to attract Turkish investors to build five-star hotels in Cholpon-Ata

With the assistance of the Consulate General, a delegation from the city of Cholpon-Ata, headed by Mayor Daniyar Satarov, made a working visit to Antalya from September 13 to 17, 2024.

The Foreign Ministry said that as part of the trip, representatives of Cholpon-Ata got acquainted with advanced technologies in the field of ecology and urban planning, visiting key infrastructure facilities, including a waste recycling plant, a wastewater treatment plant, a city landscaping and improvement enterprise, and other facilities.

Along with this, business meetings were held with Governor of the region Hulusi Sahin and the head of the regional branch of the Association of Travel Agencies of Turkiye Riza Percin. The prospects for attracting Turkish investments for the construction of modern five-star hotels, as well as park areas in the city of Cholpon-Ata were discussed.

The working visit of the delegation was an important step in the development of cooperation between Cholpon-Ata and Antalya. The cities agreed to implement joint projects in the field of innovation, ecological urban development, as well as strengthening economic and cultural ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye.

Earlier, on September 13, 2024, a protocol was signed on the establishment of sister city relations between Antalya and Cholpon-Ata.

Cholpon-Ata became the 12th and only sister city of Antalya in the Central Asian region, which emphasizes the importance of the strengthening ties between the resort cities.
