Official Visit of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Concludes

Ulaanbaatar, September 4, 2024, /MONTSAME/. The official visit of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin to Mongolia concluded on September 3, 2024.

During the visit, President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa and President of Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin held a tête-à-tête and official talks, after which the two Presidents held a press briefing on the outcomes of the talks.

Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai and Chairman of the State Great Khural of Mongolia Amarbayasgalan Dashzegve paid a courtesy call on President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

During the visit, the two sides signed documents on cooperation in the fields of energy, petroleum product supply, and environmental protection.

The two Presidents also paid their respects and laid wreaths at the Monument to Marshal Zhukov, a Hero of the People's Republic of Mongolia and a four-time Hero of the Soviet Union. Additionally, the two Heads of State visited the Ulaanbaatar branch of the Russian University of Economics named after G.V. Plekhanov, where the two Presidents met with teachers and students.


President Putin's official visit provided the impetus for further strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, expanding mutually beneficial economic ties, and significantly contributed to the development of cooperation in the fields of fuel and energy, transportation, environment, culture, education, healthcare, and humanitarian endeavors.

This visit was particularly significant as it coincided with the 85th anniversary of the collective victory in the Battle of Khalkhiin Gol, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Ulaanbaatar Railway, a symbol of Mongolian-Russian friendship, and the centennial of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Russian Federation.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Alexey Nikolaevich Yevsikov, and other officials, saw President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin off at "Buyant-Ukhaa" International Airport, reported by the Office of the President of Mongolia.
