Efforts Made to Protect Crops from Harmful Insects

Pyongyang, August 31 (KCNA) -- Farms in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK strive to protect crops from damage by harmful insects.
Coping with abnormal weather conditions, the provincial plant quarantine station has supplied self-produced germicides to city and county plant quarantine stations and farms, while strengthening the prediction work for preventing damage by harmful insects.
Farms in Unpha and Sungho counties are manuring and cultivating crops in the latter half of their growth in a responsible way by applying rational methods.
Similar successes are made in Sariwon City and Koksan, Sangwon, Yonthan, Kumchon and Thosan counties. -0-
